Special Skills/Abilities: Guns, specifically sniper rifles. - Though his father died while he was young, he taught Tobias how to handle weapons. Those at the time of his birth into the vampire world evolved over time and he honed his skills as the years went on. Currently he specializes is sniper rifles. He's skilled with the weapons and has enough years of experience to bet on he makes more hits than misses.

Physical Description: Tobias stands at about 6'0". He has dark hair and eyes and an angular face. His hair is usually kept cut a bit short, but he's been known to change his look depending on his current surroundings. When he lets his hair grow out a bit, it has a tendency to get a curl to it. Tobias is proper and well rounded. He dresses in clothing that suits his personality. More expensive outfits, like suits and ties or high end casual wear. He's never been one to take less in life at any point. He has money and he spends it lavishly, made obvious by his dressing habits. And lastly, like all vampires, he has fangs that are always visible.

Personality

Personality: Tobias is proper. He's from a wealthy family and has always been a man who values his class over others. He feels superior to most. He plays off friendliness, but it takes a lot to really get past the walls he's built up over the years to get to his true self. He's got a short fuse with quite a few different things, specifically with people who try and get too close to things he considers his. From his possessions to his significant other, get too close and expect a verbal lashing, a dirty look and leaving the scene knowing you should never do what you've done again.

He's got a bit of an air about him that says he's got money and class, enough to go around for himself and half the city. He never looks disheveled and doesn't particularly care for people who look that way themselves He's been known to turn up his nose at more than one person over his long life. He's loyal, but to very few people and again, there are many walls to break down to get to that point.

Personal Strengths: Charming - Tobias knows that he's charming and he uses it to his advantage. If he wants something, he'll play this particular card to try and get it.

Personal Weaknesses: Compulsion - Locking doors. All of his doors must be locked whether he's inside the home or car or leaving it. As soon as he exits or enters a room in his home or vehicle that belongs to him, Tobias locks his doors. He doesn't like to be surprised and refuses to put himself in a position where that can happen. It's an odd little habit and to those he associates with and brings into his home, it can be more than a little confusing.

Over confident - Tobias thinks that he can do anything. He's capable of doing whatever he sets his mind to and for the most part he lives up to this, but it doesn't mean it's always going to happen that way. He screws up more than he'd like to admit, but continues to believe that he's all knowing and powerful. He refuses to admit that he's capable of screwing up.

Protective - His things belong to him and Tobias will be the first to be sure you know this. Whether it be Jezebelle or just one of the things he feels belong to him, paintings or his car or any of a number of items he considers his, Tobias has been known to blow his temper if you get to close.

Short temper - Tobias is the owner of a very short fuse. He tends to raise his voice a lot and isn't one that hides his annoyance with someone. He'll let you know what he's feeling if you cross him and this tends to keep his close friends at a minimum. Not many people want to stick with someone who can't reign in their temper.

History

Tobias was born on a hot summer day to Clara and Theodore Quinn. He was the first child, but he wouldn't be the last. Two sisters followed in the years after his birth and then a brother shortly after that. His father was a wealthy man, his mother also from a well to do family. They lived together in Georgia on a large plantation. When his father died of a sudden heart attack at the age of forty, Tobias - then eighteen - inherited the land and the responsibilities that came with it. He had to make sure the servants did as they were told, keep the family fed, his sisters and brother kept up in their studies.

As well as the normal everyday duties he was forced to take on at such a young age, Tobias also took on the chore of helping his mother. The woman was slowly deteriorating mentally after the death of her husband and though he did all he could do to help her recover from the tragedy, it wasn't long before Clara, distraught from Theodore's death, died by hanging herself in the family's barn. While obviously hurt and saddened by the death of his mother so close to that of his father, Tobias was launched into head of household mode and still had brother's and sisters to take care of.

Which he did. At least up until the time that he turned twenty eight.

While out late one evening doing a bit of extra work in the barn, Tobias was taken by a vampire.

She'd been watching the man carefully for months. First setting her eyes on him while he was out hunting. She watched his shooting. Watched how he could hit a creature when other men would have missed. She kept her eyes on him night after night on his hunting trip. Forcing herself to stay up until sunrise to catch him in the early hours of his hunts. It was while he was on this trip that she decided she must have him. His skills would be an asset to the family.

So that night in the barn, she took him by surprise and he never saw what was coming. Tobias was born into the vampire world and had to leave his old life behind. While not happy with being taken against his will, he dealt with his new life and over the years grew close to his sire, Tabitha.

But all things must come to an end and his life with Tabitha did just that. She'd left for Italy to do some shopping for their new home in France. She wanted authentic things. Lovely and fine things. Always the best. She'd wanted to go alone and who was he to tell her otherwise? Perhaps he should have, however, because while she was in Italy, a vampire hunter found her. Tabitha was killed and the Shades weren't happy about the way of her death. Dispatching Tobias, he headed for Italy to avenge Tabitha and kill the man who'd killed her.

It was there that he came into contact with Jezebelle Marino. The wife of the man he was to kill. Tobias took up residence in the woman's home. He planned on waiting out her husband until he returned and using her as a lure to get her husband. Little did he know that the man was already dead and buried, a victim of poisoning.

It took a while for him to discover he'd been beaten to the punch. Days went by, and then weeks. Marcello was no where to be found. When people called on Jezebelle, she always put on a show of how upset she was her husband hadn't been home. That he'd disappeared. But when she was alone, she never seemed to mind that the man was gone. Tobias grew more and more curious about the woman and what she might know about the whereabouts of her husband.

Hours upon hours were spent questioning Jezebelle about her husband. During that time, Tobias learned more and more about the woman. Watching her. Listening to what she did in the night. The bottles of poison she sold in the shadows of the streets. Learned of the things she was capable of. Her skills as an apothecary. Eventually, he learned that Marcello was dead and buried long before he'd even arrived at the home the man shared with Jezebelle. She'd killed the man. Poisoned him and buried him in the garden.

It was then that Tobias decided to sire his own vampire. He chose Jezebelle to be the first, and as of yet, only human he'd turned. He'd lost Tabitha and hoped that Jezebelle would be able to fill the void he felt when he lost her. Of course there were many things to consider before turning her. After months of courting the woman, doing his best to gain her trust, he finally began her transformation in early January of 1896.

The years that followed together with Jezebelle were eventful. Full of studies and travel and just getting to know the new woman in his life. They traveled the world and broadened their skills, Jezebelle even went to school which took some doing. Falsified documents took a while to achieve, but Tobias found a way so that she could do as she pleased.

Eventually the pair found themselves in Scarlet Oak where they've lived for about five years. Jezebelle opened up a little flower shop run in the day by her employees and taken care of at night by herself. Tobias works in the business of buying and selling weaponry and dabbles in drug dealing for Jezebelle, taking him away on business every few months. They were rounding out the time they could stay and knew they'd be needing to move on eventually. You can't not age in a tiny town without drawing some suspicion, but they were saved from the move by the Light of May.

Vampires were known now and they didn't have to leave. Didn't have to pack their things and start over again. So Tobias and Jezebelle stuck around and still live in Scarlet Oak in a large house on the wealthier side of town.

Since the Light of May: Tobias wasn't particularly happy with the Light of May coming about. The only good thing he believes came out of it is the fact that he doesn't have to move around nearly as much as he did over the years. If he doesn't age any in ten years, no one will really care because vampires are now known. He doesn't care for the fact that everyone is aware of vampires however and would be more than happy to continue the moving around in trade for his secrecy to be restored but he knows that's a wish that's not going to be granted.
